Annemiek Verkamman is managing director of HollandBIO, the Dutch biotechnology industry association. HollandBIO unites and supports more than 170 companies that create novel technology and products that make the world a healthier, more sustainable, place. HollandBIO is the leading voice of the Dutch biotech sector, engaging with all relevant stakeholders such as policy makers, media and the general public to maximize the sector’s societal and economic impact. HollandBIO works to ensure that biotech companies in The Netherlands are able to thrive in a competitive, global market place. Annemiek Verkamman served as managing director since 2012 and is board member of EuropaBio, the European association for bioindustries. Annemiek holds a master in Chemistry from Leiden University and a master in Economics & Business Administration.
