Workshop: Melting the Ice

This session gives insights and practical tools about networking and how to tap into its power in a way that you feel comfortable. First of all, you will learn how to create a memorable elevator pitch. In order to network efficiently you need a strategy balancing online and offline networking. During this session you learn how to balance both dimensions while setting goals and creating an action plan. At the end of the session you will have taken the first steps to network more effectively and with more fun.

After graduating in Public Affairs at the University of Maastricht, Farah worked for different media organisations. She noticed that there is a lot of pressure on the generation Y and Z, the young professionals of today and tomorrow. They face high expectations and need to keep developing their professional skills. Therefore she founded Mind Elevators, with the sole purpose of contributing to the success of every young professional.

At The Hague University Farah teaches at the Faculty of Technology, Innovation and Society on professional writing, public speaking, personal branding and more. As an educator Farah is dedicated to help young people develop their communication and professional skills. Her passion for media and communications combined with her love for teaching makes Farah an enthusiastic and energetic trainer.

Richard has a Bachelor in European Studies. During his studies he gained international business experience and founded two companies. After graduating he worked as an account manager and sales manager and received several years of intensive training and experience in sales and marketing. He used his experience to start in real estate and set up a company in fitness and health. His love for working with people and his wish to help others led him to co-found Mind Elevators in order to contribute to the success of young professionals. He specializes in sales, communication and motivation and brings a contagious energy to the table every time.
