BioBusiness Summer School 2017 takes place in Amsterdam, one of Europe's most popular destinations, and in Leiden, home to the largest Life Sciences cluster in the Netherlands.

Address

The first four days (26-29th of June) of the BioBusiness Summer School take place at the Free University of Amsterdam.

The last day of the programme (30th of June) takes place in Leiden University Medical Center, located right behind Leiden Central Station.

How to get to Free University Amsterdam

How to get ther by car
The A-10 Amsterdam ring road can be reached from all directions. Follow the A-10 to the Zuid/Amstelveen exit S 108. Turn left at the end of the slip road onto Amstelveenseweg: after about three hundred yards (at the VU University hospital building) turn left again onto De Boelelaan. VU University Amsterdam can be reached via city routes S 108 and S 109.

How to get there by public transport
From Amsterdam Central Station
- metro 51, direction Westwijk (17 minutes), stop at: De Boelelaan/VU
- tram 5, direction Amstelveen Stadshart (29 minutes), stop at: De Boelelaan/VU

From Station Amsterdam Zuid
- metro 51, direction Westwijk (2 minutes), stop at: De Boelelaan/VU
- tram 5, direction Amstelveen Stadshart (2 minutes), stop at: De Boelelaan/VU
- bus 62, direction station Lelylaan (3 minutes), stop at: De Boelelaan/VU
It's a 10 minute walk to the VU from Station Amsterdam Zuid

Car
The A-10 Amsterdam ring road can be reached from all directions. Follow the A-10 to the Zuid/Amstelveen exit S 108. Parking
There is a limited amount of parking space around VU University Amsterdam itself in De Boelelaan, which has parking bays, and also in Karel Lotsylaan. There is paid parking on VU Amsterdam parking lot to the right of the Hospital Outpatient Clinic. There is even more parking space on the east side of Buitenveldertselaan at the junction with Willem van Weldammelaan, within 5 minutes walking distance of VU University Amsterdam. A number of parking places for the handicapped are reserved in front of the VU University Amsterdam Main Building and within its grounds.

Schiphol Airport
Travellers arriving at Schiphol can take the train to Station Amsterdam Zuid (see 'Public transport: from Station Amsterdam Zuid).

How to travel to  Leiden University Medical Center

How to get there by car
Directions from Amsterdam:
Take the A4 and then the A44 in the direction of Leiden-West. Exit the A44 at junction 8 (Leiden, Noordwijk, Katwijk, N206), turn left and go under the viaduct. Follow the signposting ('H-Ziekenhuizen').

Directions form Rotterdam
Take the A13 and then the A4 towards Amsterdam; exit at junction 6a (Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk, Leiden-Oost) and turn left. At the end of the road, turn right and follow the signposting ('H-Ziekenhuizen').

Directions from Utrecht
Take the A12 and at Bodegraven take the exit for Leiden (N11). At the end of the N11, turn right and follow the signposting ('H-Ziekenhuizen').

Directions from The Hague:
From The Hague, take the N44 (which turns into the A44) and exit it at junction 8 (Leiden, Noordwijk, Katwijk); turn right and follow the signposting ('H-Ziekenhuizen').

How to get ther by public transport
Take the train to Leiden Central Station. Take the back of the drive (LUMC) and walk to the main entrance of the LUMC (building 1).
